"Hope's adventures"
Hope in Hania, Greece
Once upon a time there was a girl, named Hope. Hope was very kind and generous. She had long brown hair and a wealthy body. She wore a colorful dress and a pair of shiny little shoes.

Hope had a dream. She wanted to travel around the world and collect several things from each place. So she took her suitecase and her imagination and start travelling.
The first place she visited was in Greece, in a town called Hania. In that shiny place, Hope saw an old beatiful harbour with a tall lighthouse made of stone. She also found a school, named DDMN, where she met 15 students in the 1st grade. Those happy and kind children offered Hope hospitality and they all became friends. Hope was really happy because she put in her suitecase a present by her new friends, FRIENDSHIP
So, she continued her trip.

Hope in 37th kindergarten. Larissa, Greece
The next destination of Hope was the city of Larissa, in Greece. It’s a nice city in the valley of Thessaly. Students of 37th kindergarten welcomed Hope in their kindergarten which is in the center of the city. Hope was very pleased meeting all these 21 lovely kids! Children guided her to the statue of Hippocrates, father of medicine, who lived and eventually died in Larissa. They gave her tips on healthy eating and great herbs from the herb garden, to get them together in her suitcase. The treasure she was given was the healthy attitude.

Hope in Croatia
Then Hope decided to take a boat trip and while she was on the boat she heard some people talking about small but very beautiful country called Croatia and she decided to explore it more! She was amazed by the beautiful blue clear sea and high mountains. She went further north and enjoyed climbing little green hills from which she could see enormous plains. Then, suddenly, something caught her eye.. A huge but charming building- a castle! She found 18 children playing there and a lot of people watching and following. They were wearing costumes, singing and dancing. It was a play, the story of a noble family who lived there and of traditions and dances of the people living in the castle´s neighbourhood. Hope was enchanted so she accepted to dance with them. In return, the children gave her the present of JOY! She put it in her suitcase and thanked. From now on, whatever happens, she will know where to find JOY of life!
And these are the drawings we made about our paragraph of the story..

Hope in London

Then Hope decided to visit London on a Ryanair flight to Stansted airport wondering what gift she could collect from there. She arrived in the lovely borough of Newham in East London. There she met some wonderful and chatty children from a local primary school called Brampton. It was a massive school and Hope felt a bit lost. So some kind children offered to show her around the school and then took her on a trip around the local area. While they were visiting the local area,  they walked past a mosque. Then they saw a church, then a synagogue and even a sikh temple. Hope was surprised to see so many different temples in such a small area and so many people living harmoniously with each other.

Hope didnt say anything but when she was invited to a Year 4 class the following day, she couldnt help asking the children about it. They were very happy to help and they explained that everybody is equal and that the local people respect each other despite the differences and that is why there were so many different temples allowing everybody to practise their own religions.  From this visit to East London and the explanations of the children of this super friendly school, Hope got the gift of TOLERANCE. She left London feeling very happy and with another precious gift in her suitcase :o)

Hope in Spain
After that she went by bus to San Vicente de la Barquera in Spain. At  the Bus station she gets off the bus and there were 21 students waiting for her.   All together went to visit the casle and  they went to visit the port and the harbour of San Vicente. They saw the breakwater too and they had lunch at the Annua (a restaurant with two Michelin stars). The students, which are in year 4, told the history of San Vicente to Hope who enjoyed listening to it. When they finished they told her that they were going to go to celebrate a local Public Holiday “El Mozucu”. It is celebrated  in a field next to a beach. In that celebration many families meet, cook and share a big meal made with potatoes and tuna. Hope celebrated that with them and they gave her the recipe to make it at home. The present that those children gave her was HARMONY to take with her in her suitcase. They said goodbye to her new friend hoping to see her again.

Hope in Romania

Students from Romania made a doll picturing HOPE, out of recicled materials:

Hope decided to take the bus to travel all the way to the easthern part of Europe, because she wanted to discover a country she has been reading about while traveling through Europe. The story she read was the story of Dracula, so, she thought she should visit the land of fairytales, she should visit Romania. She arrived to Piatra Fântânele, in the northern part of Transilvania, a wild and misterious land, where she visited the castle of the famous Dracula. While she was admiring the landscape, a joyfull and friendly crowd, that was just leaving the castle, invited her to join them for a trip to their hometown and school, which was in the same county, in Bistrița-Năsăud. They were 26 gymnasium and highschool students from „Petru Rareș” National College, who were also carrying some suitcases. Since she was tired of travelling by herself, she decided to give it a try. She was convinced by their attitude and by their heavy suitcases, full of acceptance. If you think they travelled by bus all the way to their destination, you are wrong! They made a paper boat and sailed on the Someș river, until they arrived to Beclean, a small and beautiful transilvanian town. Nobody was surprised, they recognized the students from Petru Rareș, who are known as being very creative and friendly and they welcomed them home, along with their new friend. Since it was Hope`s birthday, all the school decided to throw a surprise birthday party, in her honour.

They were many (almost 1 000 students), but the occasion was also a special one: they just found out Hope was turning 10, just like eTwinning in Romania! It was all so great! They took Hope to the new school campus and the students gave her many presents and played with her. They even organized a day trip to the horse stud the town is famous about and of cource, they ended the day in Figa, at the famous balnear establishment, with a swimming contest, followed by an outdoor party.

Hope liked these people and she fell in love with the beautiful landscapes. But most of a
ll, she appreciated the present they gave her: KINDNESS.
Hope was sure she will return to Beclean one day.

Hope in Orestiada, Greece

Hope was very happy with all of these presents but she was also very anxious. She wanted to explore more. She got on the train and travelled for a few hours. She stopped at a city called Orestiada in Greece.
She got of the train and passed through the city's square. Then she reached a Kindergarten. It was the 10th Kindergarten of Orestiada. She rang the bell and waited. When the door opened, cheerful voices came to her ears. She got in and meet 22 happy children who welcomed her with joy and enthusiasm. They took her outside and played in their schoolyard. They also told her they they were going to visit the city's local museum to learn about Orestiada's history and about Carnival Customs.
Hope rented a car and went to the museum. She was very happy to learn that Orestiada was the newest city of Greece and was created from nothing by Greek Refugees who left their hometown in Turkey. She also liked the carnival custom called Gaitanaki.
Then, she drove and went to Ardas River in a village called Kastanies. She walked on the grass, saw some animals, threw stones in the water, had a bath and tried to catch some fish. She rested there for a while and got back to Orestiada.
She went to a playground called 'Pines" due to the trees that it has and then she went back to school. The children had a present for her suitcase. They gave her LOVE. Love for people, for animals and trees and love for one's hometown.
Hope thanked the children and took the train for another destination...She carried alot of precious presents with her...FRIENDSHIP-HEALTHY ATTITUDE-JOY-EQUALITY, TOLERANCE  and LOVE.
